Unavailable

Our beautiful antique gilt brooch, attributed to Wegwood and retailed by London and Ryder of 17 New Bond Street in London, is hexagonal-shaped and features a figural plaque depicting a standing mythological male figure with sword in hand.  1.75 inches across.  In good condition.  Our attribution to Wedgwood is based on a similar hexagonal signed brooch depicting Zeus, sold by Doyle on December 8 in 2010

Based on records found online, London and Ryder firm of "goldsmiths, diamond workers and silversmiths", operated on New Bond Street at early as 1866. They retailed fine jewelry and other objects of beauty, including clocks and timepieces, and designed their own jewelry and wares. Ou
