Dial Phone Western Electric 302 - Thermoplastic made for Bell Telephone company
$149.99
Thermoplastic Dial Telephone from the 1930's . It is an old Bell System desk phone manufactured by Western Electric Company. This is the 302 model. Note the Art Deco lines in the casing. These old phones are harder to come by. However they are becoming very popular and fun to place in your home for a functioning piece of old technology with style. You can dial out with them but it does take a few more seconds than a push button set. With great pride I have a phone like this one of hooked up in my office. I can receive calls as well as dial out.
The phone that I am offering for sale has not been tested but I see no reason why it would not work. It can be fitted to work with a phone jack. There are a few websites explaining how. The problems I see are a small crack in the case in the back corner of the base. (I am pointing to it in a one of the pictures). The steel bottom cover has a bit of surface rust. The is some signs of wear where in the handset from use over the many years. There are a few faint scratches here and there. That type of wear can be polished out. The electric cord ends need to be trimmed back as red and green coating over the wire end look a bit chewed up.
