Lovely picture tile painted in on-glaze enamels depicting a coastal seascape; according to Lockett this is one tile from a scenic panel. This is the actual tile pictured in Lockett's "Collecting Victorian Tiles" on page 105. It is in excellent condition with the exception of the same left corner nick and smaller lower right edge nick as pictured in the book. Nice satin glaze with beautifully rendered muted blues, lavenders and greens. Please write with any questions you may have.
