Ephemera/March 1956 Issue House Beautiful

$15.00
Here is real great source book! It is a March 1956 issue of House Beautiful. The banner across the bottom reads: 1001 Color Schemes for your Spring Decorating. The original price was 50 cents! The magazinf is heavy, probably over a pound. There are 214 pages. The bottom has gotten wet at some time. Some of the pages had stuck together in tiny places at the bottom. I had sat and looked through and seperated them. Only a very few became torn in very small areas. This magazine is full of advertising articles and decorating ideas for it's patrons. It measures approx. 9 1/2"X12 1/2"X1/2". There are a couple of pages with longer tears and the front edge has broken areas. I tried to make sure you could see it in photo. There are lots of colorful vintage furniture and carpet ads. Ther is a Cadilac ad with a fashion show photo. The caption reads:Private showing in Christian Dior's Paris Salon photographed expressly for Cadilac. There is a colorful nearly full page ad for Parliament cigarettes with a lady in an awesome yellow hat! Just a fun magazine. The shipping fees quoted are for first class/No insurance in USA.
