Estwing Hatchet Leather Handle w/Pouch

This is a very nice camp or utility/sportsman's hatchet with the steel shaft, and curved leather handle for comfortable grip. The metal plate on the end of the handle is marked "ESTWING ROCKFORD ILL. MADE IN U.S.A.". this hatchet weight is about 2 pounds including the pouch. It also has the original label on the steel shaft the reads "UNBREAKABLE TOOLS ESTWING MFG. CO. ROCKFORD ILL.". This is a vintage hatchet from the mid-1900's era, but is still in very nice shape overall. The leather handle is the leather oblong washer type, for the best grip you can buy. The hatchet head is 5 inch long, with a 3.1 inch cutting edge, and the overall head & handle is 13.2" long. The condition is very good, some minor wear, but cutting edge is very sharp, ready to use condition.  No rust, very little minor staining, very clean overall. The leather is well attached, nice finish, well cared for, some minor staining, overall in very good useable condition. Also included is a leather belt pouch, so you can attach it to your belt and carry it with you. The pouch has light engraving on it, also a age darkened finish, otherwise in very good shape overall, good snap closure and strap. Made to last!
