Our client's rare silver brooch by Faberge, circa 1910s, features lovely enamel flowers and river pearls and faceted amethyst stone, plus its original case. 1.75 x 2.75 in, 4.5 x 7 cm. Marked with the silver 84 standard and K FABEGE mark in Cyrillic. Weight: 20.9 g, 0.67 ozt. With dual pin fasteners on rear on extreme left and right A distinctly French design, a plaque de cou (literatlly translated, "neck badge/plaque/plate"), was designed to be worn on the front of a tall collar on a blouse and mounted via ribbon or held in place by pins or rows of pearls or gens. They were typically rectangular in shape and curved, and first worn in the late 17th century.
