Fabulous vintage Chrysoprase Pearl sterling bracelet Edwardian design Stone of Venus

 

I have always been fascinated with chrysoprase. It is the stone of Venus, ( Roman Goddess of Love and Supreme Ruler of the Heart).  Highly prized in the Middle Ages, it was considered a magical stone that was “re-charged” at the half-moon by placing it out in nature.  Chrysoprase was said to bring good health and harmonious longevity to marriages. This fabulous bracelet has Marquise shaped stones set in sterling and accented with real pearls on each end. The bracelet is a really good heavy  quality piece and is absolutely stunning when worn. It measures from 7 1/2 to 8 1/2" ( it has a  sterling ring extender) and is 1 1/4" wide. Each link is hinged so it hangs well.
