This is a clean, 9" adjustable speed wrench, with the spring loaded spring geared jaw feature. It is marked "GELLMAN MANUFACTURING COMPANY ROCK ISLAND ILL U.S.A. POLLY" on one side, and "DROP FORGED STEEL PATENTED APR. 17, 1923 9IN NO. 91". This one is a nice example, but has had rust on it at sometime in the past, not rusty now, but pitted on the jaws area mostly. The spring is there, but not as strong as it once was, but the jaw locking serations are in good shape, and the basic design of this wrench will cause it to lock in place when leverage is applied. A very nice wrench, from the 1920's to 1930's! A hard to find!
