General Electric Shooting Letter to Admiral Ad 1943 This is a November 1943 advertisement. It is a nice color ad from General Electric. Ad shows many styles of lamp bulbs that are used by the US Navy. Also shows a boat and a man on the boat sending signals and the ad reads, When this marksman pulls the trigger, the nearby flagship receives an important message in dots and dashes of light. The concentrated beam from this Blinker Signal gun can be seen at least a mile away even in full sunlight. Yet an observer more that a few degrees off the beam cannot read the message. In mint condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 10 1/2 inches wide by 13 3/4 inches tall.
