General Motors and Girl with Spinner Ad 1944 This is a September 19, 1944 advertisement. It is a nice color ad from General Motors. Ad shows a little girl blowing on a spinner that she has made. Reads, all Sister did was to gold back a piece of paper, pin it on a stick, and blow on it. It whirled and fast. GM engineers found the germ of a new transmission in an idea just as simple and the Tank corps is using it right now. In excellent condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 10 1/4 inches wide by 13 1/4 inches tall.
