This is a very nice clean old tool that I've never seen used. Some old tools reference books and catologs refer to it as a wooden horseshoe calk remover. I don't know? This one appears to have never been used, in very good shape with the markings on it, "GIANT GRIP NO. 1 5/8 9/16 MADE IN USA". It is a wedge shaped tool, so most likely used with a mallet to remove something.
