Vintage clip earrings with four oval cut ruby colored rhinestones in graduated sizes prong set on an arched gold plated background. Both earrings are marked CASTLEMARK, a line introduced from 1948-1952 under the Castleclif brand was owned by Clifford Furst and Joseph Bobley, originating in 1937. The chief designer was William Markle who created bold, intricate well constructed gothic, renaissance and art deco designs, using gold plated sterling silver.   I have not tested this metal.
