Here we have what the Europeans call an Upcooker. Used to warm milk, cream or other pourable food items. It has a perforated lid to let off steam and a wood knob to remove the lid. It is a heavy, thickly covered piece of Graniteware in a dark gray mottled color. The measurements above are from the spout to the outside of the handle. The pot portion is about 5 1/2 deep. It is in excellent condition with a couple of dings to the outside bottom from use. Rather unusual looking, it would make a great addition to your graniteware collection. It was purchased in the Netherlands, not sure where it was manufactured. Please take a look at the other pieces of European graniteware we have listed with GOANTIQUES.
