Or Best OfferThis is an original lithograph advertising poster, circa 1925, promoting the French automobile shock absorber brand, Haubourdin. Entitled " L' AMORTISSEUR ", this work depicts a lovely female clown or harlequin admiring the shock absorber on the front end of an automobile. Printed in Bruxelles ( Brussels ). Artist is believed to be Jean Leon Henri Gouweloos (1868-1943). Excellent condition. Frame measures 39 3/4" by 60 3/4".

This poster is being sold on behalf of a collector in New York, NY. It was purchased in Paris around 1995 on behalf of the current owner, by a friend of the family who happens to be a curator at one of the leading art museums in New York city. It was professionally restored and framed in Manhattan shortly after purchase.
