Offering this good used 8 inch (from pivot center to tips), Lock-Joint Tranfer Caliper marked "H.F. RITTER & CO. INC MADE IN U.S.A.". It's in very good clean useable condition with a good working lock joint. It has minor surface finish pitting on less than 5% of all it's surfaces, no past owner's names, or initials. This Lock-Joint transfer type is designed to be able to set one finish calibration, but still open the calipers up for other roughing operations for example, via the extra adjustment on the side opposite the RITTER mark. These calipers are basically the same design as the STARRETT NO. 37, which is the top of the line outside calipers. It features a smooth working fine adjustments, so the user can lock the joint close to the size, than use the fine adjustment for a good feel of the work. A very nice design! Precision working surfaces, and adjustments in fine shape!
