Hoffritz Golden Eagle Wall Barometer Made in Belgium

Vintage Belgian-made Hoffritz wall barometer in gilded case with eagle top, from a Michigan estate. The 5 inch dial is covered by a domed crystal that appears to be glass, and has black graphics on heavy vellum paper or vinyl, depicting the images of old sailing ships. The crystal is held in place by a brass lip and 4 tiny brass screws. The back of the barometer casing is held in place by 2 brass screws. There are 3 adjustment holes and a small adjusting instrument taped to the back. The case is made of a solid, durable material, perhaps resin, which has the feel and heft of wood. The barometer is about 12 inches high and 7 inches wide at the eagle's wingspan. This appears to be a very well-crafted instrument, in very good to excellent condition.
