Home of Washington Mt Vernon VA PC This is a nice color linen post card, with white border, of the Mount Vernon Home of Washington in Virginia. On the front, lower right hand corner is printed the name of H H Rideout. On the back it reads, Home of Washington is on the Virginia shore of the Potomac, 16 miles So of Washington DC. House built in 1743 by Lawrence, Geo Washington's half-brother. Washington lived at Mt. Vernon from 1759 until his death in 1799.
