Hound Dog Salt & Pepper Shaker, Vintage Japan.  They are about 3.5 inches. 

One has a tiny rough spot on the tip of head where it comes to a point.   Looks like a fleabite that has been filled in with a darker color.    There are some flaws in the glaze but that is due to rapid manufacturing not consider damage.  They both have plastic stoppers and have an blue oval Japan sticker on the bottom
