A pretty pair of silverplated candlesticks from about mid-century. (20th) Someone loved this pair an awful lot! There are a lot of wear spots and what I guess to be oxidation of some sort and loss of finish. They are marked Made in Spain E.P.B. and I believe the maker, but can't make it out. I have found out that E.P.B. usualy stands for "Electro-Plate on Britania", which is a hard pewter alloy. They have a lovely grapevine motif on the stem. I have not did too much polishing, as they are plate I do not want to damage them more. I cleaned off the bottom of one of them. They are really still very lovely, especialy if you are like me and much prefer your silver to be a little dark and look as though it has a "past".
