Our bronze by Emile Pinedo (1840-1916) is entitled Arabe en Marche (Walking Arab) and measures 34.5 x 25 x 14 inches.  It carries the artist's signature in the cast plus the stamped circular mark that reads MEDAILLE D'ARGENT EXPOSITION 1889, and a brass nameplate that reads ARABE EN MARCHE  Exp. des Beaux Arts. Paris.  There are some minor dings, small areas of verdigris and discoloration.  This is a relatively size, believed to be the largest cast of this widely admired figure by Pinedo.
