Our Meiji period bronze by Hasegawa Konosuke depicting adult and baby pheasants measures 24 in tall, 27 in across and 11 in deep.  Adult figure cast separately, its legs insert into the base.

There are losses to the tips of the uppertail coverts of the larger bird, with slightly pronounced bend to one tail feather, plus resoldering visible on the underside. The smaller bird has a small split to the left leg at the thigh and reattached right leg. Some areas of verdigris on the underside of same example. There are scattered nicks and dents to each bird with small losses to base on reverse near the foot.
