Unusual oval basket of bamboo and sisal hemp & some other type of grass or raffia material. It measures 12" long by 6 1/2" wide. With the handle it is about 7" tall.
The condition is OK. There is a loose fiber on one side. On the same side there is a small piece of fiber broken off the diamond adornment at the connection of the handle. Both flaws are not very noticeable. It smells a but musty.
It is a nice old basket. I looks similiar to a basket that my great grandmother had in her estate.
