Italy Small Tumbler Handpainted. This is a small tumbler from Italy on the bottom it reads, Mathilde,Lait Mary Tapisserie de Baycris. The bottom 3/4" of this tumbler is done in dark blue edged on top of this blue is a narrow strip of gold color. The 1/2' strip above that and going around the tumbler, is a row of trees and animals. There is a strip 1 1/2" wide which pictures people in a row boat such as used in Venice. Then above that is another small strip of animals and trees. The words Plenis, Venit, Harold, Marme and Vento appear in the area where the boat is. These pictures are done in rust, light green and black on a cream background. The rim is trimmed in gold. Most unusual! It is in mint condition. Measures 3 1/4" high and 2 1/2" across the top. This could be from the 1970's.
