This is a nice 15 inch auger bit adjustable T-handle for holding various square tapered shank wood auger bits in the 1 to 2 inch diameter range.  We believe it is a JAMES SWAN due to we have or have had others that match the turning pattern on the wood handles and the clamping features design also.  We don't see the maker's name on this handle. It appears to have been used, and there is some dings on the handles and the steel is a bit pitted, but it is very solid due to the steel pins going through the center of the handle.  One handle is threaded so it can be easily stored, if need be, shortening the length by removing the one handle from the main assembly.  There is no rust, the wood handle are nice.
