Offering this top quality T-handle hand drill auger combination in very good condition. The auger bit is marked by the maker; JAMES SWAN EXTRA U.S.A.. In this case, the mark if very small, but a near perfect stamp. This spiral auger drill is very clean, no rust, no damage, sharp and ready to drill 2.0 inch diameter hole in wood. We note very little minor brown staining from dried on anti-rust inhibitor applied long ago. The auger is double cutting edge, double spur with very smooth polished spiral surfaces. The center lead screw is in very good condition. The auger bit has a threaded end nut that holds the bit securely in place when attached to the handle. In this case a hex nut is used along with a washer for the proper pressure to hold the handle firmly in place. The auger bit has a .48 inch diameter main shaft and is 20 inch long overall, and the adjustable pinch jaw area is part of the hardwood handle design and is 17.5 long and about 1.5 square. The handle is also in good solid condition, no damage, no cracks, some light wear and minor dings, very strong and solid. The handle is fairly easy to remove from the auger bit, for easier storage.
