This is a nice vintage 7/16-14 threading die wrench with one removable, and adjustable die included. It has a capacity from 1/4"-1/2" die inserts that are 1.5" outside diameter. The handle of the wrench is marked "J.M. CARPENTER TAP & DIE CO. PAWT. R.I. U.S.A. NO. 22 TRUE BLUE". This wrench is designed to adjust the adjustable type inserts as it has two set screws set at angle to sqeeze the adjustable die insert close, cutting the thread to the desired size to suit. The handle and the die that is included are in great shape, no rust or pitting, some minor darkening of the steel, very nice, and straight. The wrench is 17" wide overall. Carpenter Tap & Die was in business from 1870-1902. A nice antique threading tool!
