This is an original oil painting on board depicting a vibrant Mediterranean garden landscape leading toward a picturesque seaside view. A stone pathway lined with lush greenery and blooming flowers guides the eye toward a classical villa terrace adorned with terracotta pots. The composition is rich in detail, with colorful floral arrangements in shades of white, pink, and red adding warmth and life to the scene.. Signed in the lower-right corner John A Servas. John Servas (New York, Illinois, Germany, 1886 - 1953) was born in Germany in 1886 and immigrated to this country with his mother Anna Servas and his brothers, Jacob, Louis and Charles in 1892. The family settled in Rochester, New York and lived in the 21st ward. I do not have any education records. Later in the 30's and 40's he resided in Chicago, Illinois and was associated with the1939 Worlds Fair. He was married with no children. He died in Evanston, Illinois in 1953 and is buried in Rochester, New York. Presented in an ornate gold frame. Please see the photos, photos are part of the description.
