Affixed to the original board. Signed and titled recto. Wet stamped verso: 'Jose Alemany/5307 Beller St./ Pittsburgh, PA.' Notations in pencil verso. Jose Alemany was a Pittsburgh salon photographer with connections to the Spanish leftists in the 1930s. He photographed many key artists of the day, although his own salon images were often surrealistic and experimental, many made during his summers spent in Provincetown, MA.
THIS PRINT WAS EXHIBITED IN THE JOSE ALEMANY RETROSPECTIVE AT THE FUNDACION 'LA CAIXA', MADRID, 2004. THE IMAGE APPEARS IN THE EXHBITION CATALOGUE AND IS ACCOMPANIED BY THE MUSEUM'S EXHIBITION LABEL.
Condition: minor surface scuffs, otherwise excellent; the original board to which the photograph is attached is chipping, but this does not affect the photograph.
