This vintage dance pencil has a round gold filled fob pin with retractable chain hooked to a square four-sided mechanical pencil. The metal on the pencil has some discoloration to it even though it has been polished. It takes .5mm lead. The pin has an etched design with flowers on the front. The back has a engine turned linear pattern. In the middle of a double ring it is marked "KETCHAM & McDOUGALL," and "EAST ORANGE, N.J." There is a "C" hook clasp with a bent gold strip marked "KETCHALL" which is used to secure the arm of the pin in the "C" hook. A 17" gold chain retracts inside of the pin with a good spring action. The glare in the photos makes the fob look discolored, but it is actually in great condition.
