Large Abalone Shell & Sterling Brooch from Taxco Mexico. It is marked EV. It has an Aztec symbol in sterling with the abalone shell inlaid around it.

It measures 1 3/4" in diameter.

The condition is very good. There is the normal amount of wear for a vintage item.

Genuine Abalone jewelery is getting more scarce.
