A large barbotine (painting the image with colored slips) by Sherwin & Cotton depicting flowers, signed "RMB 396" on the reverse. The tile a gorgeous painting of flowers in colored clay slip. It is in only good condition as sections of the slip-painted image has flaked; notably, at the top flower and the leaf to its left, small parts of the bottom left flower and the leaf below it as well as small areas of the lower right leaf. It remains, however, a wonderful image in strong deep dark colors. Please write with any questions you may have.
