Our large Persian copper bowl dates from the Safavid period (1501-1722) and features a bulbous shape with flared rim, and Islamic poetry engravings around the circumference.  17 inches across and 9 inches tall.  It shows wear, including considerable verdigris to the bottom and inside, and cracks visible on the underside.
