Quantity available: 1

Our nineteenth century porcelain plaque in the eighteenth century, Louis XV style, depicts a sheep herder courting his lover, reclining in a pastoral, wooded setting, beneath a massive marble urn decorated with frolicking putti, reminiscent of the romantic works of Jean-Antoine Watteau (1684-1721),  Francois Boucher (1703-1770), and Jean Honoré Fragonard (1732–1806).

Plaque measures 13 by 16 inches.  Mounted in period frame measuring 16 1/4 by 19 3/4 inches.  Apparently unsigned.

( Louis XIV Louis XV Fragonard )
