Lovely turned bowl made with a tropical hardwood called leopard wood. The wood is dense and has a mat finish. It is 3.5" tall and 6.5" across the top. But it bows out so the capacity is larger. It has wonderful specks or dark spots that is part of the wood and not added or painted on. . . plus there are some swirled stripes. The condition is excellent. I is probably from South America but cannot say for sure since it was an estate item. Could be used as a salad or fruit bowl . But it is striking enough to use as a art piece centered on a coffee table or sofa table.
