Our patinated bronze figure of a middle eastern peasant boy and donkey was cast from a model by the accomplished Orientalist sculptor, Alfred Dubucand (1828-1894).  Approximately 13.25 in tall, 12 in wide and 6.5 in deep.

Dubucand studied under the famous Animalier sculptor Barye and debuted at the Paris Salon of 1867 with a wax model of a dead pheasant.  He exhibited regularly through 1883.
