Lockheed Aircraft Corporation 1943 Ad. This color March 23, 1943 ad states Call it Lighting, say the Pilots. Nobody had time to name this Lockheed fighter plane when it was born. They just called it by a number, P-38. Picture shows Pilots flying three Lockheed P-38 planes. Magazine tear sheet picture is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 10 1/4 inches wide by 13 1/2 inches tall.
