The clock is adorned with acanthus and flower-spray crest above shaped sides with rocaille style mounts, dial with segments enamelled plaquettes. The pedestal has a high waisted upper section with cherub mast at center, above a tapered upright with ram's masks at the corners, and base wtih acanthus volutes on concave sided plinth with toupie feet.
In good condition, with a crack to the numeral four on its 10 in dial, and some scratches and small veneer losses to the base of the pedestal.
It has a brass 8 day spring driven movement signed "Lenzkirch, 679202" has a half hour strike on a coiled gong and its original pendulum is present. Clock is not currently working but may certainly be returned to working condition with the attention of an horologist. Clock measures 33.5 by 19.5 by 11 inches. Pedestal is 71.5 by 22.5 by 22.5 inches.
The Lenzkirch company operated from 1860 through 1932 and was one of Germany's finest makers.
