Louis XVI Style Bronze and Onyx Side Table
Our wonderful rectangular side table in the Louis XVI style, circa 1900, features a top, stretcher and frieze of onyx stone, with extensive neoclassical gilt bronze mounts including pierced gallery, acanthus rosettes, drapery, beeding, and egg-and-dart motifs. Apparently unsigned. 30.5 in tall, 27.5 in wide and 17.75 in deep (77.5 by 69.9 by 45 cm). Front drawer releases with hidden button on underside. In good condition. There are scratches and nicks, and some mounting screws have been replaced. There are cracks to the onyx top along the original seams in the stone, but none in need of restoration. Additional images forwarded upon request.
