THE PLUS SIDE IS THAT THE LAMP SOCKET IS WORKING JUST FINE. THE PUSH SWITCH ON CORD IS WORKING FINE. THE ELECTRIC CORD MAY HAVE BEEN UPDATED IN THE LAST FEW YEARS.
