Grand Tour Bronze Bust of Greek Lsyimachus, Successor to Alexander the Great

Our finely sculpted and cast Grand Tour bronze bust of Lysimachus (361-281 BC) after the original ancient bust dates from the 19th century and is in good condition. 14 3/4 by 8 by 5 inches.  There are scratches and nicks, rubbing wear, stains and signs of glue where the bust meets the separately cast pedestal.

The original resides in the National Archaeological Museum in Naples. 

Lysimachus was a Macedonian Officer, bodyguard and member of the companion cavalry of Alexander the Great and his eventual successor to Alexander who became Macedonian King of Thrace and Asia Minor.
