Lucky Strike Uncle Sam Helped Ad 1940 This is a January 1940 advertisement. It is a nice color ad from The American Tobacco Co., makers of Lucky Strike cigarettes. It pictures Billie L Branch, a tobacco auctioneer for 21 years, along with some other gentlemen and he is saying Uncle Sam helped make tobacco better than ever. It also pictures Ollie Mangum of Rougemont, N. C. showing his crop of tobacco seedlings to Billie Branch and says these are raised with the help of U S Government experts. In mint condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This magazine tear sheet measures 8 1/4"" wide by 11"" tall.
