This large, antique Japanese Imari charger or bowl, dating from the late Edo period, features brilliant royal blue glazed and enamel decorations and gilded diamond pattern at the rim. Measures 21" across and 3" tall (53 cm across and 7.7 cm tall). Apparently unsigned with six spur marks on underside.  Condition is very good, with no noticeable chips, visible cracks or repairs.  There is noticeable wear to the gilding, consistent with age, and a few dimples in the glaze .
