This is a good clean, 10 inch swing ratchet brace marked "MILLERS FALLS CO. MADE IN U.S.A. NO. 1322-10IN" on the crank handle. It measures about 15" long overall. This one has good solid handles, with a nice smooth finish, some minor dings on the wood, but look good. We note a dent in the head face plate and in the hardwood next to it, this has no effect on use, spins just fine. The head handle has a good working ball bearing drive, and the ratchet system is in good working order, works in both directions, the switch turns a bit tight in the one direction, but does engage properly. The chuck sleeve is a bit worn in the knurl section, and as you can see has dings and scratches, but it does work, snugs up the taper square ended auger bits, no problem. The spring loaded double jaws are in very good working order, designed to hold the tapered end type auger bits. A very well made, nice user tool, by a well known maker!
