This is a nice clean, hard to find 12 inch sweep ratchet bit brace marked "MILLERS FALLS MADE IN U.S.A. NO. 731-12 IN". This model brace features the spring loaded jaws that can hold either round shank or tapered square shank drill bits. A super well design two jaw chuck, very reliable. This one has very little nickel plating intact, but good clean, rust free bare metal surfaces, (some minor pitting noted) with good solid hardwood handles, that still look nice, not beat up, mostly just clear finish wear. This one features the ball bearing drive on the head, very smooth turning. This tool was designed for generally commercial applications, with heavy duty features like the metal sleeves inside the crank handle, not seen on most braces this size. Quite rare, particularly in this nice of shape!
