Millers Falls No. 732-10 Holdall Ratchet Auger Brace

$95.00
Quantity available: 1

This is a very nice clean 10" sweep ratchet auger brace featuring the chuck jaws that will hold both round shank and tapered bit stock shank auger bits well! It is marked "HOLDALL NO. 732" on the neck arm, and "MILLER FALLS CO. MILLERS FALL MASS. U.S.A. PAT'D JUNE 25.1907, NOV. 8.1910" on the chuck sleeve. It has very nice clean cocobolo handles and the head handle is ball bearing drive, and very smooth operation. The Cocobolo handles were originally covered with a very thick varnish which in this case has held up pretty well and they look nice with some small dings and chips. The ratchet system works smoothly, chuck and all moving parts in very good shape. This brace is 15" long and has a 1/2" diameter round shank capacity.
Note: This Hold-All chuck will also hold the tapered square end shank brace auger bits as well as the round shank bits. Really an amazing drill chuck design, so well made too! The nickel plating is about 80% intact, and the bare metal is clean, rust free, slightly age darkened, but smooth. One of Millers Falls more versatile tools, in nice condition overall!  One of the cleanest No. 732's we have had to offer! (The stub drill show in the photos is not included in this sale.)
