I just love this child with his soft gentle face that is now adorned with seed pearls and tiny black beads that almost form a mosaic inside this locket like gold filled deco glass watch case. Even his robe is stately with flecks of copper and gold. His glass casing rests on a very old gothic crest that holds an antique medieval cross with red glass baguettes. On each side are more medieval adornments that resemble upside down shells. The pendant which is 3" long hangs from a thick gilt band of rhinestone links from the 30's and the chain is gold filled with beautiful etchings. The length of the neck chain that fits around your neck will go up to 20" and you could wear it shorter since it has a fish hook clasp. This is a heavy necklace with really good vintage quality pieces. The tiny miniature takes hours to make and each and every bead is hand set. These are TINY and the photo makes them look much larger so when you see it in person you will understand why victorian miniatures were so popular way back when.
