Our client's miniature gilt bronze vargueno and trestle table feature fine damascened decorations including beautiful Islamic arabesques and Arabic saying, Ha al Asim (Is the Name).  Chest rests upon the table.  With chest on table it measures 7.5 by 6.25 by 4 inches.

Of the quality of the leading 19th century damascene artists from Spain, including Zuloaga (1834-1910) and Felipa of Madrid. Felipa Guisasola de Zaragozano was an expert jeweler in damascene works. She achieved a Grand Diploma of Honor and gold medal at the Exhibition of Mining and Metallurgical Arts, Madrid 1883.
