Our nineteenth century gilt bronze table screen features a wax seal depicting soldier on horseback on brilliant blue glass.  Apparently unsigned, we believe this is of French origin.  The cavalry figure is wearing a tall cylindrical shako in the style of the French hussars of the early 19th century.  

It has considerable rubbing wear and a few small losses, including decorative section where the screen meets the upright stand.
