An Antique late 19th century monumental ormolu-mounted ,Chinoiserie Famille Rose porcelain jar of globular faceted hexagonal form.
Each side features panels intricately pierced with an openwork design, showcasing a 'shou' character positioned between 2 archaistic kuilong dragons. The panels are adorned with a continuous motif of shaped cartouches that enclose flowers and pomegranates. Additionally, small green and blue-and-white censers are set against a floral and diaper-patterned pink background.
The enormous and intricate French gilt bronze (ormolu) mounts are present at the rim, foot, and sides of the bowl, featuring matching acanthus handles and feet that are also finely hand-chiseled with exquisite detail. This remarkable craftsmanship is evident in every finely crafted detail, highlighting the skill and dedication of the artisans involved.
