Our fine silverplated tray from Christofle features extensive engraved designs including the French coat-of-arms, and Napoleonic cipher and imperial bees.  Marking on reverse include the stamped numbers 328914 and 229, plus marker's mark in oval cartouche that begins and ends with the letters "C" which Christofle used from 1844 to 1862, plus a worn and rectangular mark, "CHRISTOFLE", apparently intentionally obscured by scratches.

Measures: 29.5 by 19 in, 75 by 48.3 cm.
